About Margot

Classical foundations. Ensemble experience. Open to new sounds.

Margot Maurel is a French clarinettist and bass clarinettist based in London. She completed her Master of Music Performance (Advanced Instrumental Studies) at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Distinction, following her first-class Bachelor of Music Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Her experience spans recital and solo performance, orchestral, chamber and contemporary performance in London and Dublin. An attentive and adaptable ensemble musician, she is now extending that practice into sessions, media music, live projects and collaborations beyond the traditional classical environment.
